Only FN I own is a USG 5.7. Very accurate, comfortable to shoot, low recoil, and fun to shoot. I like that it came with 3 20 round mags.

The FNP 9 is a fine pistol. I do not own one, and the only reason why is HK's magazine release mechanism...

When the time came for me to choose my new pistol, and after bugging numerous gun shops and fondling everything I could, it came down to two. FNP 9 and the USPc9. I liked them both, and it was hard. At the end of it, I chose the USPc9 simply because the magazine release was so much easier for me to manipulate. Simple as that. I am not a HK-only fanatic, I would be happy with the FNP 9, but the USPc simply did EVERYTHING perfectly for me, and that is why I became a HK owner.

Now the Five-Seven... that is another story! I do not have the budget for one, but I do admire the muzzle flash.

I came across a FNP-45(non USG model) yesterday.
If I could at least hold the thing, I'd buy one in a heartbeat!
Too bad the 15+ double stack mags make it impossible for people like me...

Hey Wes, was it a good price for the FNP-45? You should have snagged it up man.

Dude...
While I understand what your saying, and you do have valid points, I must still disagree with most of what your saying.
For instance, my P30L is a FAR superior gun to your "Almighty" G19 in every aspect.
But on the same token, we're comparing apple's to oranges, so this argument will never be fair.
As far as the extra parts, ie: roll pins, screws, rivets, etc... goes, this is irrelevant to anything, and if that's your argument, that's like asking if your Chevy cavalier is better than my Ferrari because it's got more fasteners and components? Seriously?
I'm not bashing Glocks by any means, but "better than a H&K"? Hardly...

Enter in my one cents worth! I have owned several Glocks, 17, 19, 23, 36. I love being able to strip it down (completely down) and clean it. Do small "upgrades". Price is easy on the pocket! But damn I cant hit the narrow side of a barn with a Glock. Fits my hand alittle odd. Striker style also isnt my thing. Now hand me my 1911s, my P30 or USP 40, I knock ragged holes out to 10 yards. Thats why I shoot and carry my Colts and H&Ks.
I always use factory ammo, and if I find an brand that doesnt cycle well, I dont buy it again and I make a note in the organic hard drive. And I have found only one type of ammo that wasnt liked by a couple of my guns.
If I am going to the range to show off my toys, out comes my Colt race gun, or any of my H&Ks. I shoot well with them, and almost Everyone I meet with a glock, wants to know, if I mind them shooting a round or 2 with my H&K. That in itself says sumthing, (maybe price out of reach for some or somewhere they read a forum knocking H&K), but its has yet to happen that anyone put down my H&K and said "yuk" Everyone loves the point, recoil, and ergonomics.
I even got my Tactical .45 for a new glock 23 and $300. That man loves his glocks. So.....
The more Glock lovers there are, the more H&Ks left for me! So thats a good reason to like Glock and love H&K.

Well I actually was looking into buying a glock. My friend owned one and it I actually shot it very well. But I didn't like the grip and didn't care for the overall look(which dosn't matter in the long run). I saw an HK45 and asked why in the hell does it cost so much? The owner let me shoot his and I fell in love  . He didn't have to tell me why it cost so much. A year later after some saving of $$$. I purchased a p30s .40 S&W. I like the extra rounds and the reduced weight of the gun. I havent thought about a glock since 8) .
