Pilot's Pistol Offer

Heckler & Koch, in support of the Transportation Security Administration’s Federal Flight Deck Officer Program is making a limited time offer for U.S. airline and cargo pilots to purchase one HK USP40 Compact LEM pistol and related accessories for personal training and home defense. The HK Pilot’s Pistol Offer is open only to certified commercial airline & cargo pilots who are eligible* to participate in the FFDO program.

Participating pilot will need to provide the following:

  1. A completed HK Pilot’s Pistol Offer Form (with complete payment and address information). Pricing information and copies of the HK Pilot’s Pistol Offer Form are available by contacting Heckler & Koch, Columbus, GA at 706-568-1906 or email: cs@heckler-koch-us.com.
  2. Legible photocopy of your current pilot’s license.
  3. Legible photocopy of your current company identification card.
  4. Copy of a Federal Firearms License (FFL), signed in ink by license holder, where you wish to have your HK USP40 Compact shipped (usually a local gun shop or sporting goods store). Copy of the FFL can also be mailed or faxed directly to HK by the FFL holder and should reference the program and pilot(s) name.
*Eligibility requirement for the FFDO program
  • Have and maintain a current FAA Airman's certificate.
  • Have and maintain a current Class 1 or Class 2 medical certificates.
  • Be a U.S. citizen.
  • Be an eligible flight crew member flying for an eligible passenger or cargo air carrier:
For Passenger Flight Crew Members: You must currently be employed by a passenger air carrier or private charter company operated under 49 CFR part 1544 (i.e. passengers are screened by TSA).

For Cargo Flight Crew Members: You must currently be employed by a cargo air carrier operating aircraft with a gross takeoff weight in excess of 100,000 pounds (45,500 kilograms, or 100,309.8 lbs) and serve as a flight crew member for aircrafts of that weight.
